When producing a product, there are many ways to advertise it.

The most well-known method of advertising, even if the name isn't, would be display media advertising, this would be the adverts on a website that when clicked, link to a site decided by the advertiser, typically to purchase a product but possibly also to increase awareness of the product, this is the easiest to use as it just needs a square/rectangular image and a page to link to and can typically either cost per click or for the length of time that the ad will be hosted, but this type of advert is so common that most people typically ignore them or even install an AdBlock to just get rid of them altogether.

Another method the average consumer may be somewhat aware of is content marketing, this is producing content to advertise the product, from anything from a demo to a music video to a short advert from the product, this can be good as it can be as entertaining as the product but this is due to the fact that it is essentially another product to promote the first and can take away from the time used to make the product.

A third and far more subtle method of advertisement is search engine optimization, this is altering a website so that it will end up higher in search engine results so that people are more likely to see your web page and access it.
